I applied for graduate certificate program in business administration in Canada. I have completed Bachelors and Masters in Mathematics from India and have been teaching for the last 6 years. But I would like to get into a more corporate role and I believe the mentioned program is my best option.
However, I spoke to a few immigration consultants and they mentioned since my education and work experience is in a different field, it is very likely that my visa application has very high chance of getting denied.
Is this true? Or has anyone been in a similar situation before? If so, are there any programs you guys would recommend that improves the visa chances and also keep my goal of getting into a corporate job in check?

As long as you can explain your plan and choice of program with good reason, you will be fine. Everything must make sense though, just keep that in mind when you write your study plan. We have seen so many similar cases and a change of field of study is usually not a big problem as long as your plan make sense.

There are two things you will have to explain in your SOP. One is why you are pursuing a significantly lower leve of studies to the studies you've already completed and the second is why your planned studies in Canada are unrelated to your work experience. You would be much better off studying at the post graduate level in Canada.
