Student visa for 40 plus, any scope for PR after that?

I am 42 year old. Graduate,, four year honours. No Masters. Want to move to Canada, but score doesnt match for PR openings.
What is the chance of my getting student visa?
Which subject will lead to a job and subsequent PR in Canada?

What will your score be if you factor in canadian education and work experience from pgwp. How long are you willing to study for in Canada? Also, there is the possibility of provincial nominations after you've finished studying and are working while holding the pgwp.

My GT IELTS score is 7.5
I am a BBA, Bachelors of Business Administration
I did one Executive MBA which has been considered as a Diploma by WES
I dont mind studying for as long as it's required for I can afford both the time and and money. But I dont want to return back to my country after I am done with my study.
My listening score is 7, that is where I get low marks in Express Entry, and my age is a big minus too.
Please guide me, what to do.
I am planning to sit for Academic IELTS on June 22. Before that I need to make up my mind on the subject and University I would choose to study.
By the way, I have one toddler whom I am planning to take along if I move abroad.

It seems that I must finish my studies in Canada, then I must have a job offer to apply for PR. I do intend to study in Canada, is there any particular subject that would get me a job quick and fast?

I am not sure how much research you've done already so i'll just throw stuff out there!

For choosing a subject I think it's a good idea to browse the different occupations in demand and choose one(or a few to approach institutions with) that you'll be happy doing and that gives good points.

From what i've heard you should try to choose a course that is related to or complements your previous academic and employment history eg* don't try to apply for your study permit with a course on Physics when you previously worked in catering.

You will want a course that is at least 2 years full-time so that you can get a 3 year post graduate work permit, more canadian work experience equals more points. Shorter courses, give shorter pgwp. Also make sure you only apply to DLI(designated learning institutions) or you may not be able to get a pgwp(means leaving Canada after your course is over).

Once you've chosen a course and approached one or more universities/colleges they should be able to help with a lot more advice, they'll probably tell you things like: never mention in your letter of explanation that you want to move to Canada, even though dual-intent is perfectly legitimate it'll sink your application. I have a representative that helped me with everything, including giving a lot of advice on writing the letter of explanation.

Although, you get 0 points due to your age(i'm in the same boat) you can still rack up a lot of points in other areas and there is always provincial nominations which you should look into at some point, each province has different requirements.
