Hello guys! I hope you could help me with this. I am from Philippines and I'm applying for a student visa bound to Canada. However it's my sister who is currently residing and is a permanent resident in US will be the one to sponsor me with my studies. Unfortunately, I have read that one cannot sponsor a sister if she is married, her sister is overage and parents are still alive. I don't have any choice since it's my sister who is capable of providing financial assistance to us. How about if my sister has joint bank accounts together with my mom. Is it possible that they both can provide a letter of sponsorship? Will it work? I hope to hear from you soon guys. This is urgent. God bless you all.
I think your confusing someone paying for your studies with PR family sponsorship. Your sister can act as your sponsor. Make sure you provide a copy of her bank account statement and an affidavit confirming that she's taking on the fees and living expenses for your studies.
Hello! Does it mean it will not weaken my application? I thought she cannot aponsor me with my studies. What if she has joint bank accounts together with my mom? Is it alright if I can present a bank statements of them both? Thank you so much for patiently answering my queries
