Hello, I applied for my student permit last Jan 2020, got approved March 2020 for May 2020 intake.
Now because of the pandemic, I was not able to leave my country. And I opted for May 2021 intake.
Problem is before I could leave my medical expired, and I had to do it all over again. I did last week, results are still not out.
My permit in my passport is about to expire in August 2021, should I reapply while I'm still here? or should I do it in Canada?

Not sure, but if your study permit was not activated within 180 days, do you not need to apply for a new one? Either way, you were supposed to notify IRCC for deferment greater than 150 days. If you didn't do that, chances are your study permit is no longer valid. You need to contact IRCC to be sure.
