Can the spouse of a student travel few months later alone to canada once the student has reached or should both student and spouse travel together after getting the visa ?

Yes, but as per the ircc statement, the family of the student can travel along with them after Oct 20.
Can the family join them later alone ? Will the immigration stop them

If the spouse has all the required documentations, there is nothing wrong in not travelling together.
