Hi there! I am just new here. I just want to know if I can convert my study permit to closed work permit.

The scenario is, since nowadays, student permit holders can work for more than 20 hours, I have found an employer who wants to offer me LMIA. The thing is, I am still on a study permit and supposed to graduate mid 2024. So, can I just convert my study permit to a closed work permit with the employer or should I finish my studies first before I can convert to a work permit? If I can convert it without finishing my studies, what are the consequences if any?
