Student Permit for Presumptive Canadian Citizen

How old is your daughter?

She is 21. A few days ago her study permit was approved after much ado. Now apparently it will take two weeks to get her passport back with the Visa in it. Again, very inefficient and unjustifiably long service.

Thanks. Only had chance to do very quick skim but seem to have missed the part that says "foreign nationals who are dependent on a Canadian citizen are charged fees on the domestic fee scale despite being a foreign student." Will try to read it more detailed later.

No, it is not info added by edit. That said, for anyone who is interested, my daughter is now in Toronto and studying although she arrived one week late, and we were put to thousands of dollars of unnecessary expense as a result of the way her application was handled. As a lawyer who graduated from Osgood Hall some 35 years ago, I am surprised that some people commenting here seem not to understand that it is highly improper and probably unlawful for Immigration to pressure anyone to give up their citizenship rights and that current policy for dealing with visa applications by presumptive citizens and Indonesians more generally is extremely discriminatory.
