Student permit for minor

Can I apply a student permit for my 13 year old daughter? I'm currently working here as a skilled worker and what are the requirements for student visa for grade school?! Thank you

A minor dependent of a work permit holder does not require a study permit to attend public school, although some school boards insist (for reasons known only to themselves). Enquire with your local school board. If they do require one (for reasons known only to themselves) you can apply from within Canada (i.e., IMM 5709), online.

They still need a TRV to enter Canada but that is the only requirement. For post secondary degrees a study permit is required.

I assumed the child was already in Canada, but as canuck78 says, if she's not here she will need a TRV to get here first . . . unless you're from a TRV-exempt country.
