I have gained admission for a masters degree in a university in Montreal. My parents are willing and capable to support.
But currently their bank statements do not have the balance required by Immigration officials although they are gainfully employed. Is it possible they take loans from the bank summing up to the amount required and attach it to their bank statements for the student permit application?

You can take student loans from the bank and pay the tuition fee upfront which will definitely make your case stronger than if you just put that money in your bank account as your bank statement needs to be at least 4 months old and preferably 6 months old so it would be better to pay the tuition fee upfront. Also, the VO will take this into consideration that you do not have enough money and you are borrowing it from the bank so the benefit of this education should be great to your career as you are spending a lot on your education. If the benefit does not seem reasonably great then the VO may think that you plan to settle there in Canada and may refuse the application for weak ties and weak personal establishment in home country.
