Hi Guys, I just receive the eCoPR on the portal. (but the mailing address & PR card photo are still in review with IRCC). Hope some experienced members can answer the following questions.
1. I am wondering if I can get a refund for my OWP application. My OWP extension application is still in progress but I have already received the eCoPR. I think being a PR no longer needs that work permit. If I can get a refund, what should I do?
2. Before I apply for the spousal sponsorship, I am an international student. Therefore, I have to pay 75 CAD every month for the MSP. But now if I get the eCoPR but still waiting for the PR card, can I stop paying the MSP? My husband is a PR and he doesn't need to pay for MSP.
1. Apply to withdraw the OWP application and a refund.
2. Contact MSP with your PR information and enroll as a permanent resident. Don't just stop paying it, ensure MSP knows you are a PR.
(If your husband is a PR and sponsored you for permanent residence, you should have applied to MSP with your PR application receipts and have been enrolled back at the beginning of the process - you've been paying MSP and haven't needed to technically but because your husband did not enroll you as a spouse, you were not eligible.)

I got a biometric fee refund ( I did it in 2019 for a study permit and I paid again for the PR application.)
But the OWP one, I have received an application update after I submitted the web form asking for refund.
Currently, my OWP application is being cancelled.
I guess the refund is in process since the biometric one is automatically refunded to my credit card.
For your information, you can submit a refund request using this link. I used this link to request my refund as well.
But if your OWP application is still in process, you are unable to use this link, it will show your application is in progress, you need to send a web form to ask for application cancellation first.
If they have already refunded, IRCC will let you know when did they refund. https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/refund.asp
