One of my husband's best friends living in Brampton, Canada from the last 4.5 years. He is a successfull business man now and own a freight forwarding company (logistics & transportation) there. His company is now more than 3 years old and registered with Canadian authorities and he is paying income tax regularily.
Since he also wants us to move to Canada so he wants to help my husband with employment. My husband can ask him for a job offer letter which I believe is a lengthy & difficult process so in this regard I would like to know the steps involved to get approval from HRSDC.
Read http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/eng/workplaceskills/foreign_workers/supperimm.shtml to find out how to apply for AEO or LMO. An AEO is for immigration only, not for working. It is only given out for a skilled job. HRSDC will check that the job offer is real. An LMO is used to get a temporary work permit and for that, the employer has to show having advertised the job for a certain amount of time and nobody applied.
If your husband can get 67 or more points on the self assessment for skilled worker, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assess/index.asp he can apply for you both if he has an AEO from his friend.
If he can't get 67 points, the friend can try applying for an LMO for him and he can apply for a work permit and will have a chance to apply for residency later.
My husband can get around 70 points (without job offer from Canada) but the problem is his occupation (Manager - Marketing) is not listed in the current 38 occupations. Can he still apply with an AEO from Canada?
Could you throw some light on how to get a job offer from Canada as i need to immigrate as AEO. PLease help.
I know getting a job offer from Canada can be difficult specially when you are outside Canada. Are there any ways you can suggest that will help me find a Job? I am an IT Professional living in Saudi Arabia. Currently working as IT Coordinator.
It's not easy to get an AEO. Most people who are advertising jobs on these websites are looking for people who don't need PR or work permit and can start soon but there is always a chance.
Thanks a lot. Could you please also tell us how we can proceed further, what should my husband's friend do to issue the job offer? what are the steps involved?
One more thing I would like to ask, is it necessary to have the employment offer in a trade which is relevant to my husband's work experience/qualification? he has more than 8 years of work experience in marketing and currently working as Manager - Marketing in an Indian company.
Or he may be offered any other position in my husband's friend company such as Office Administrator/Manager/Clerk?
Well rajni the link provided by Leon contains all info about applying.Your husband's friend needs to download some forms from that link ,get them filled and send them to service Canada alongwith all other necessary documents needed about his business. Its an easy process and if ur husband's friend's company s registered and genuine ,he should not ve any problem in getting a positive AEO.
As far as a job offer s concerned , it would be better if he could offer him a job relating his profession and education in order to avoid any rejection by HRSDC or even by CIC in future.

The AEO has to be for a skilled job so clerk will not work. Manager or Office administrator could work. I the AEO job is too far from his experience, immigration can refuse the AEO.
