Statutory decleration of common law union to be signed in Morocco

Hi I am looking for a commissioner or Oaths to sign my imm5409e in Morocco. I have been in touch with several lawyers and about 10 notaries but no one seems to know what's going on and who should sign this form. Also they seem reluctant to understand my position since living together before marriage is still a new concept in morocco.

If anyone has been through this process, or has any info. How to go about this in Morocco, I would greatly appreciate any feedback,

Also I gave the document checklist another look and it says you only need to submit this if you have a co-signer (witch Is not my case). So I'm wondering why immigration Canada has written me asking me for this specific document.

Yes, it's only required if you have a co-signer and is not supposed to be needed for spouse/partner class applications.

Why does CIC sometimes ask for it? Who knows. My guess is some VOs are not that bright and don't actually understand or follow the guides properly. Getting this document done is just a big pain in the ass and proves nothing about being common-law. Since they asked you need to do it though. Any notary should be able to authorize it, as all they are doing is being witness and confirming you and your partner are indeed the ones signing it in their presence. Notary does not actually need to verify you are a common-law couple. Good luck.

From what all pf the notaries have told me, it seems no notaries here wish to sign the form, so I think not I have to take an appointment Withthe Canadian embassy in morocco.
