Hello everyone, I am about to post my sponsorship PR away and just cross checking everything. Whilst looking for mistakes we came across our common-law date being wrong, I had listed we entered a common-law relationship from the the day we moved in together on 02-11-14, when after doing some research it counts a year later, so 02-11-15. We changed this on our visa forms however, I am now questioning the Stat Dec we have to send, it has already been notarized. It is just so confusing the way it is worded.
it says 'solemnly declare that we have cohabited in a conjugal relationship for....' I put 1.11 months as that is how long from the date we moved in together till the date we signed. is this right? Is it asking when we first moved in together or a year later when we officially became common-law in the eyes of the law? I dont want to send the wrong date and have our application refused!
If anyone can help here I would be greatly appreciate it!

Agreed. For the Statutory Declaration, you put the start date as the date you first moved in together. For the immigration forms, the start date of common-law status is one year after moving in together. That is, the two dates being one year apart is correct.

My common-law partner and I are currently living apart right now. So just to make sure we didn't fill this out incorrectly I would put the date we moved in together until the date I left our place and returned to Canada?
