Status in Canada as a Worker OR Student Count for Citizenship

Hi there,

I was an international student completed Education in Ontario. Lived in Ontario for 5 years I recently received my PR through ONIP International Student Stream. My total years of staying in Ontario 2 years on study permit 3 years on the work permit.

Does My stay in Canada on the Work permit or Study Permit Count, When I wish to apply for Citizenship under new citizenship rules?

When the law changes this year, people will once again be able to claim up to one year of pre-PR time towards the citizenship residency requirement.
