CIC has been experiencing some problem (Some CHC has already acknowledged and advised not to be misdirected by the E cas) in updating system with the newly installed GCMS... Might be a reason of your one linking to that one... Would be a good idea to wait for few weeks to see how it goes... All the best

It's a new system that will replace the CAIPS. Read below for some more info
"The Global Case Management System (GCMS) is a multi-year project that will replace several existing systems at Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). The goal of the project, which began in fiscal 2000–01, is to provide CIC with an automated, highly integrated case management tool to support its global business network and provide enhanced end-to-end client services. When complete, GCMS will support more than 7,000 users at CIC and the CBSA in some 125 points of service in Canada (offices, call centres, processing centres, citizenship courts and ports of entry) and more than 100 missions abroad."

Yes indeed. Let's hope it gives applicants the prompt and detailed feedback on their applications without the need to order anything or wait for anything.

Well, CIC is delivering this solution in phases. They said that phase 1 went live on 2004 for some departments, while the full rollout will, supposedly, finish by April, 2012.
Today morning my address again appears on Ecas ,all the information remains same ( i.e ' In Process ' with RBVO inside details ) . I thinks the things will be more clear in few weeks !!!
