Sputum Tests / Visa Delay/ Admission Defered

I have got admit for Jan 2019 intake.As soon as I got admit i have done upfront medical exam on oct 31 2018 and applied visa online on nov 12 2018 , paid first year fees and GIC too. On Dec 6 2018 I have received letter from CIC asking for further medical tests. I have contacted hospital they said sputum tests have to be done to rule out TB and it takes 8 weeks and due to this my visa gets delayed.

So I have to defer my admission to sep 2019 intake and what should be done to my student permit application as it has Letter of Acceptance for jan 2019 intake.

Please help !!!!

Contact the admissions office and they will send you a modified LOA for Fall start. You can then send it to CIC.

I will receive modified LOA by February i guess , Do I need to continue with the same student perimit application till February and send CIC the modified Loa in February?
Do I need to inform CIC that my admission is defered and got approval mail from university but at this moment I dont have LOA as it takes time.
In between i need to repeat chest X ray on Jan 31 2019.

Your application would remain open while you go through additional medical tests. You should be able to get your revised LOA within 2-3 weeks and maybe a little longer considering holidays. You should immediately notify CIC once you receive it.

Could you please help me with GIC , i have paid 10250 CAD and mentioned dec 25 2018 as entering date .Now as the admission is deferred what happens to my GIC.

It would just sit there and earn interest.

You should probably use the secure mail and let them know once you get the new LOA and send them the new LOA. This is probably something that happens often and they should have a system for this. Your money minus the bank charges of 250 CAD should be earning between 1-2% interest till you reach Canada and open your bank account.

Thank you so much !! I have received new Lettter of acceptance . Could you please let me. Know how to send it to CIC and my study permit application is an online one .

Not entirely sure but probably you can use the CIC webform
