My wife is currently here with me in Nigeria spending her maternity leave. She plan on leaving next month because her maternity leave ends in march but things changed as we just discovered she's 6weeks pregnant and our baby is just 11months. My question is, can I contact IRCC and explain the situation of things to them, maybe they can help me speed things up. Or will my question slow things more?

Assume she and the baby spent enough time in Canada to qualify for the medical care they received. Depending on the province and how long your wife has spent in Canada in the years before leaving she may need to reapply for provincial healthcare. If your baby spent less than 6 months in Canada they likely never qualified for healthcare in Canada. People need to read the form they make you sign to get a health card for your baby in the hospital and the form you sign when applying for your own health card. Your wife is going to have to try to qualify for EI again if already pregnant when returning back to work. Hopefully your spouse has support in Canada because you have made life much more challenging. I hope she’s also secured childcare if needed since that is also a minor nightmare although many are at least paying less than they used to.
