Spouse visa rejection. Please help!!

Hello guys, I am currently studying in canada. My husband applied for his open work permit but for rejected because of lack of
-Proof of recent enrolment letter of my college and
- my student permit was almost expiring.


I could get my recent enrollment letter from my college but regarding my extension of study permit ,I have applied but its still underprocess. Is it necessary for my husband to wait to reapply for the open work permit until my student permit is granted or can we continue with his application. My visa on passport expires on 2019 only , I am just extending my student permit .

Please if some one had gone through this or has any idea. I will be of great help for us.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I applied my sstudy permit extension a month ago and I haven't heard anything on it. Is there any way I can get some information on my application. I also heard like we can continue with my spouse open work permit application but he will need to stress about my visa extension in his Sop along with the visa extension file number or something. Do you have idea on this. ??
