spouse visa procedure in new delhi ?????

Hi friends I have sponsered my spouse from canda
I am canadian citizen
She lives in india

I received acknowledgement from delhi and file number also.

I received letter from delhi embassy that they need pcc and landing fee which I already paid and send them with file. I know the processing time for delhi office.

But if anyone can share his experience with me and let me know how the process at new delhi.

Do any one have idea what exactly them do now.
R they going to process the file or they will start working on it after few months.

If any one have idea please let me know

Sponsorship of spouses, common-law or conjugal partners and dependent children applications

There are 2 stages in this process:

Stage -1 - Assessment of Sponsor

Spouse, common‑law partner or dependent child - 64 days (CIC is working on applications received on October 5, 2015)

Stage-2 - Assessment of Person Being Sponsored (applicant) - Status available online

Upon submitting the complete application to Embassy in New Delhi; it takes approximately 17 months to process this application & receive a decision.

During this stage; embassy upon receiving the application will notify CIC which will assign a case number to further track the process & also CIC notify the local embassy to assign a case officer to do background verification check on the applicants profile.

Upon verification the embassy officer will notify the authority & applicant for further process to submit medicals & police clearance certificate & post document submission with regards to the same a decision is being made on the application.
