I'm sure I'm neither the first nor the last person to have this "idea" so I figured I'd take the opinions of everyone here before going ahead with the application
I'm a Canadian PR and am thinking of sponsoring my wife as an inland applicant (she's still in our home country) but to do that I need to apply for her temporary visit visa to Canada first.
Now frankly, I do not expect to get her TRV approved but I figured there's not much to lose even if it gets rejected right? I don't believe it'll negatively affect her sponsorship visa for example...
So I wanted to check whether anybody else has tried this before - and if yes, then how was your experience?
Cheers and do let me know!
p.s. if this post is in the wrong thread then please feel free to move it accordingly - thanks!
TRV for my daughter with the same circumstances as you have mentioned is refused about two months ago. I am not an expert but since you asked for similar cases I thought to share it with you.
I have similar case and i’m still weighing my options of either applying for outland or inland and also the possibility of getting TRV. Did your wife get it? What’s the procedure that you finally went ahead with.
