spouse sponsorship

my spouse and I had been cohabiting for 2 years (we're not common law) before we got married on Jan.10.2011.we are same sex. she's in philippines right now and Im going to sponsor her as spouse,she went back home feb 3.since we lived together for 2 years before getting married what proof of relationship can i send with the application?we don't have emails, chat logs, joint accounts. we only have pictures old and new,wedding pictures,electric and cable bill with our name on it, proof of the same address from previous to present,4 letters from friends and employer, phone calls made between us made in canada. what else can I put?any Idea? Im worried that our application will be refuse because we dont have enough evidence that our relationship is really genuine.

You were common-law before you got married for immigration purposes but I understand you are applying under spousal now. What you have sounds good. Proof of continued contact since she went back to the Philippines is good as well.

but we didnt declare into anything that we are common law..specially on tax.are they going to check that too?i thought Common-law is not an automatic status or one that you must declare just because you are living with someone.i thought its an optional.


my partner applied for work permit before and she put single on her current status, not common law. are they going to question that?...if yes then we are in trouble.
