Hi my conjugal partner is currently Permanent residency of Canada he apply for spouse sponsorship (outlland) with the help of Canadian representative . Im currently working in Dubai i sent all the documents to CIC November 22, 2017. how long it ill take to recieved acknowledgment letter from CIC are they the one who will process my application or they will transfer me to Abu Dhabi Office?
pls advise anyone have same story like mine?

Hi, wait for approximately 4-6 weeks after sending your file for the acknowledgment email. IRCC receives our file then they will transfer it to a Local visa office. As far as I know, the London visa office is responsible for applications from the UAE, they might transfer your file to the visa office in London.

Oh thank you so much for enlightening me.. Buk! i hope nothing will requested to me anymore since we submitted everything as per Canadian representative from police clearance to picture (A-Z)... i hope its worth it to pay the representative which was realy costly CAD 5000/-...

i believe for spouse sponship it will be more faster by now 3-6months...but after reading all the trend comment here some are taking so long...

Conjugal typically takes longer than spousal and common law.

Remember that not wanting to marry, not enough money, unable to travel to partner's country to marry because of job, are not reasons for conjugal

And not all representatives give correct advice

thanks noted, we plan to get married once i reached canada and approve his divorce. i tried to visit visa there but rejected that is why we end up applying as spousal sponsorship...

Why cant your partner visit you instead? Also is he not able to divorce due to a law from his ex's country?

We travel together many times latest is last January just to be together... we cannot marry since he still married... he apply divorse already and still waiting for the result.. once the divorce paper approve we will get marry.. im currecly in Dubai... we visted several times in philippines..every year...

i apply to visit hm in canada last july and it was rejected that is why we end up applying spousal sponsorship in conjugal category.... i hope and pray that wverthing will be okey till now no news after submitting the package to CIC

Senior members can weigh in here, but Im pretty sure that if your partner has the ability to get a divorce, then you cannot apply as conjugal. Conjugal is for people who cannot get married or become common law at all.

There's nothing to stop him to just simply wait for the divorce and then marry you, so because of that I believe you dont qualify

Hello,
I am also concerned about the Police Certificate. firstly we applied for an e-mail copy, which we received on e-mail on next day.
But then my lawyer in a Mississauga told me to order the physical copy.
Does it make a difference, if we use the coloured print out of the e-mail we already have. But it’s been 4 weeks, we are still waiting for the courier from Dubai Police.

please advise, if you have any knowledge about this.
