I have a query. Please do help me.
I had applied for spouse open work permit along with my husband for study permit on 25th May 2017 and his study visa got approved on 22nd June 2017. We had applied online together. He has reached Canada and i am still awaiting my spouse open work permit. We had sent mail twice to Delhi visa office as IRCC replied that our file is at Delhi. Its more than 120 days now. There is no reply yet. Can someone help me why is it taking so much time or will they reply to the applications?
I have already uploaded medical and it shows that i passed the medical.
Marriage certificate, medical, proof of funds, Passport scan the following documents have been already uploaded.
Have sent an email to delhi immigration high commission but no reply yet. Its more than 120 days now after submitting the application in May.
Its almost 150 days now, no reply for an Open work permit. Anyone knows, Does it take so much time? The waiting is so much that we really don't know the outcome. Feeling tensed as i am alone here and my spouse is in Canada.
I applied for my open work permit on 9 August 2017. When I track it says being processed at the Visa office in Bangalore. They told me 10 weeks as the processing time. It's been 12 weeks now. They revised the processing time to 14 weeks now. Hoping for the best...
I have also applied for spousal open work permit on 17th July & It says the file being processes to the Bangalore visa office. They told my wife 9 weeks as a processing time but it's been 15 weeks & still I'm waiting for the medical request... I'm also hoping for the best & you know the worst part is they are having call centers and email-Id given on Vfs website but they are saying the same thing which we can see on tracking page... So there's no use of contact details....
It can take upto 6 months if u are applying from outside canada. But if u had applied for OWP after coming to canada it would have taken you less than 2 months. And if you had flagpoled, then it would have taken you 20 minutes. I wish someone had told me these things when I was applying. Best thing to do is get a visitor trv and then apply for OWP at the border. 20 mins literally. Many people I know have done it successfully.

I just get an auto reply after filling up the form. Do they reply to all applications of the outcome? This waiting is really difficult.

I have applied for my wife's spousal open work permit on 17th july & after 14 weeks I got a request for additional document submission. They asked me to submit my employment letter with duties, responsibilities & designation... In result of that I have submitted that letter on 25th Oct,2017 but It's been 20 days from submission & stiil haven't get any update or medical request. can anyone suggest me who faced the same issue & got the positive reply from Vfs?
