Hi,
I am currently on ICT work visa in Canada.
Can I apply open work permit ( dependent on my spouse visa). What happens to my ICt work permit?I want to have the open wworkpermit issued and try for different opportunities while my current ICT doesn't get impacted.
Is this possible?
Thanks
You can’t apply nor are you eligible for an open work permit just because you are in Canada and you are on ICT. You can get a job offer with LMIA and then apply for a closed work permit.

Can you confirm what kind of work permit your spouse holds?
If your spouse holds an open work permit based on your ICT, then you do not qualify for an open work permit.
If your spouse holds a closed work permit listing a specific employer and holds a NOC A, B or 0 job, then you can apply for an OWP.

My spouse holds GTS LMIA work permit
My spouse holds GTS LMIA work permit
In that case you can certainly apply for the OWP. I don't know if you can hold two work permits at the same time and what this does to your ICT.
