For my friend it took 7 months to get a medical request.

I applied SOWP from Canada online, spouce in India with upfront medical

Applied on 4th may
Medical pass on 31st may
Still waiting for further update

I am applying for student visa from UAE. I got the acceptance letter from the university n soon em gonna apply for the visa. I will be getting martied till then, my question is what is the possibility to get an open work permit for my spouse? And if i can apply the OWP within UAE, is there any chances for rejection? As they myt take it as an immigration. Anyone who have any information regarding this please share.

Yes, you can apply online for an open work permit for your spouse. You need to add photos, marriage certificate and other documents to prove that it is genuine.

Is there any chances of rejection? As they might think we are immigrating? Cx we both will be travelling together.
Also what could be the best option applying from UAE or from canada?
