Hi,

I am keen to know under which category I qualify to join my spouse who is currently full time international student studying 1 year PG Diploma in Toronto since January 2014. We got married recently in May 2014, after which I applied for TRV from India till March 2015 as my spouse has visa till March 2015 but got refused. Could you please assist me in this situation? I would like to know if I can apply for open work permit from India instead applying TRV again?

According to my knowledge I can join my spouse as a visitor and I can apply for open work permit from Canada. I want to know if this is right. I wanted to consult with Canadian lawyers but they are expensive.

Please help me.

Hi,

I have a similar situation as yours...and my visa is also refused.
Did you find a way out? Please share.

Thanks

Dear Edmum,

I applied TRV and received refusal letter.

Now I am planing to get information about spouse open work permit.

We can apply for SOWP. Please try to gather and share more info abt it.

Thanks
