Hi All, I am going to apply sponsorship for spouse who is India at the moment. Is it mandatory add my name in her passport before applying sponsorship? Can someone suggest me
I heard some of my friends added spouse name for US visa but not sure about Canada sponsorship. We got married recently. Apart from Marriage certificate and photos were taken during the marriage, I don't have any other proof to submit for sponsorship like email, chat history or phone call. I thought it is mandatory to add the name as I don't have any other proof.
As long as her passport is still valid, whatever name she have on her passport is fine and as long as the name is the same on her Birth Certificate and other identifications she may have. A valid Marriage Certificate is good enough as a proof of being married.
