Hi guy,
Can I claim 6 points for my wife level of education?
She just completed her foundation year for a computer science degree and has another 3 years to go in a UK university.
Any help will be very appreciated.
Regards,
You can claim points for non-Canadian education only after completion of said course and thereafter getting it validated by WES or similar authority, a process called Educational Credential Assessment. All the best!
Hi,
Thanks for your swift reply, I thought WSE only validate degrees not one year post secondary school education?
If you're claiming only secondary school credential, that will net you 2 points and WES won't be necessary for that in my opinion but you'll need to submit documentary evidence when asked for at a later date.
6 points are allotted for a completed 1 year post secondary program. I'm not sure if you're allowed to claim points for 1 year of completion of a 3/4 year course which is why I said that the course has to be completed before WES will validate the same.
Hope that clarifies.
