Hi everyone Im a filipina married a Canadian man, My husband submit complete application to CPC Mississauga
November 6, 2012-submit complete application CPc
Jan 2, 2013- approved as sponsored /send the application to Embassy of Manila
My question is
1. Can I send an email asking what is the status of my application , Until now not yet receive a letter from visa manila regarding my application
2. My medical examination done last June 2012, I have a query if I do again medical examination since, the processing time is 11 months for spouse visa
Please give me an advice... thank you...
They have the option to extend the medical validity under some specific circumstances. You will need to see what they ask you to do. I don't think you need to do anything until they request it.

Right now, members who got their SA(sponsorship approval) in early September are getting their PPRs already.
You are looking at around 4-6 months, before getting a PPR. You will not usually hear anything from CEM until your PPR comes

Hi sis, as of now CEM (Canadian Embassy Manila) are working on early September sponsor approvals. You can check and join in this spreadsheet for Manila Applicants.
It's up to you if you will ask CEM but most probably you'll get a reply about your application being in process. And sometimes they don't reply at all.

Very true! Your sponsorship approval is too early to ask them what's going on.
Again, they are working on apps which got sponsorship approval in September and you got yours in January. My advice is not to contact CIC unless you have an urgent report (like change in address, change of status, addtional family member, etc) or if you see that everyone else in in January (SA date) got PPR and you haven't got any correspondence from them.
So maybe hold your horses until like june or july before you send them an email.
