Me and my wife just flew in to Canada from Saskatoon airport and I looked at her passport today and I see she wasn't given an entry stamp even though she is Chilean with a Chilean passport. Her country is now part of the visa waiver program so she can stay for 6 months. But I am worried because I plan to apply for her PR in 3 weeks and I recall they want me to provide the passport page scan with proof she is legally here. Will I have a problem or can I prove this another way? What should I do. Should I call the airport/CBSA at YXE?

She doesn't require a visa to enter Canada, so therefore she is here legally as a 'visitor'. Because she has no stamp in her passport means she can 'legally' stay for up to 6 months before having to renew her visitor status.

Hope that helps

Explain in the app that her passport wasn't stamped on entry; it's a common occurrence and CIC will not care. If you are still worried, just include her plane ticket showing when she came to Canada.

I had the same issue, they didnt stamp my passport when I came from Russia the last time.
I just made a CBSA request and they sent me the proof by mail.
It takes up to 30 days though

I hope CIC doesn't care because the people at CBSA refuse to send me anything to show proof. I have our boarding passes and itinerary so that will have to be enough.
