Hi,
my spouse got Rejection letter from CIC regarding her trip (for a 1 week) to Canada from India. The reasons given is pretty much unclear. i am a student in Canada. None of the check boxes for documents are ticked but it says under "Other reasons" (ticked):
"Given economic conditions, employment prospects, considering your travel history, economic establishment and family ties, I am not satisfied that you would respect the terms of your admission as a temporary resident in Canada".
It's quite normal to be refused in such situations as IRCC believes the visiting spouse will remain long-term.
The refusal reason means the visa officer believes your wife does not have strong employment ties + lacks a good financial situation + lack of travel history (probably her first visit abroad)+ family ties (stronger family ties to Canada because of you).... which would not compel her to return to India after her intended visit
