Please, I am currently a student in Canada with a valid study permit till December 2024. I applied for my spousal open work permit extension in Feb 2024 which was to expire in April 2024 due to my initial international passport expiration date. IRCC gave my spouse a letter to work till August 12 2024 immediately we put in the application but up till today, we have not gotten any response on the visa extension till Dec 2024. Could the extension letter still come before the valid work date of August 12,2024 that he was given? And also the application has passed the 109days processing time indicated on their website. Any reason for this?
