Hi I am from India and my girlfriend is a PR holder now in Alberta and am still in India. We were living together for more than 5 years. But didnt get married due to religious issues.During her application,she has gven her marriage status as "single" because we come to know common law partner is not applicable as per Indian laws.Request your advise friends
a) Whether my girlfriend can apply for an open permit for me saying we are in common law. (we have all proofs to support)
b) if she do so whether it will affect her existing PR status as she didnt declared common law at the time of application.
