AOR 1 - November 30, 2017
FILE NUMBER RECEIVED - January 26, 2018
MEDICAL REQUEST - February 12, 2018
My husband received an email stating that our documents will now be forwarded to Manila Visa Office - March 7, 2018
MEDICAL EXAM TAKEN - February 17, 2018
MEDICAL EXAM RECEIVED FROM CIC - First week of March
NOTIFICATION THAT MEDICAL EXAM PASSED - Second week of March
CIC Website Online tools had shown that they started processing our papers on February 28, 2018.
As of now, its almost 3 months since i received feedback from CIC. I have no update yet on how documents are going. We already submitted our NBI clearance and Schedule A background during the time we sent our documents last year. Upon checking in our acct in CIC, our papers are in process and will notify us once background check will start. May i know if someone who has any idea in this journey of ours or has encountered with the same experience on how long will be the average time to notify the applicant after we have passed the medical exam result?

IRCC promised to complete processing of straight forward sponsorship cases within 12months from the date your application was received at IRCC Mississauga (AOR 1 - November 30, 2017)........make take less than 12 months and in exceptional cases may take more...
After your application is transferred to outland to Visa Office (Manila)........you will receive request for medical exam......and its not unusual not to hear from IRCC for months until you probably receive request for passport..........relax.......its a wait game......and knowing that the process is slow could help reduce your waiting stress.

Thank you for answering to my question. It really helps the stress of waiting for our application. May i know if you are also applying for a spousal sponsorship?

Thank you for sharing this link. I have read the threads and i was amazed by some of the applicants who got their visa for 6 months or less. I guess the length of processing our documents would depend on the location of the VO who will handle our application. I have usually observed that European countries have faster processing.
