Please help: would it be a ground for spousal visa rejection if I, the principal applicant was previously denied of US tourist visa? How about if the person being sponsored is unemployed, would it be a ground for rejection of our sponsorship application?

1. It depends on the reason why they rejected it.
2. No. It won't be a problem. You need to mention unemployed in the forms.

Because I wasnt able to demonstrate ny socio economic ties.
Both questions are about you, right (the principal applicant and the person being sponsored). Being unemployed is not an issue, but as
Krish121089 said, the reason for your US visa refusal could be material. If it was just an 'ordinary' refusal (i.e., not for criminality or misrepresentation) it should not be an issue.
Thank you for respondinh
