Spousal sponsorship

Hi, I have applied for a spousal sponsorship for my husband who resides in Pakistan. The immigration office in sydney, NS received my documents on Oct 26, 2020 but we havent gotten any response yet. no acknowledgement letter or any email. I know due to covid things are slow but does it take this long to send an acknowledgement letter.

Yes it has been taking up to 6 months to get AOR.

I got a notification close to 6 months after UPS stated my package was delivered in Sydney. The notification actually stated that my application was received that day. So basically they have your application and are probably looking into it but they won't tell you anything until after a few months. Waiting is always the stressful part. Keep busy, don't worry. They notified me through email. I am the sponsor. They did not notify my husband. Always remember to check your spam email as well. Good luck!
