I am an Indian and my husband is a Canada PR. We have been in relationship from 2012 and we got married in 2019. My husband moved to Canada in 2017 and he came in 2019 to marry me. However our marriage was just registered and did not have any ceremony, our family is not in good terms because we're from different community. Now to process our spousal visa the consultant is so particular I should submit marriage pictures and letter from our families which is not possible. I have all the documents required for the visa except the marriage ceremony pictures with family and letter from our family members. I would like to know if all these are mandatory or Can we write a letter to the immigration explaining the situation.

You can write a letter to explain the situation. Since you can't provide this evidence, you should aim to provide other strong evidence in your application that your relationship is genuine and ongoing.
