Hi everyone! I just wanted to know what does it mean if my status is 'in process' then my husband recieved a letter that our application is already sent to the Visa office. This is our timeline. Thank you!
We received your application for permanent residence on July 21, 2017.
We started processing your application on October 24, 2017.
Medical results have been received.
We sent you correspondence on October 6, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
It means your application is now being processed at your visa office. It will remain as 'in process' until 'decision made'. Now comes what is probably the hardest part, many weeks or months waiting with no communication.
Depends on the VO. At this point, they will be figuring out if they believe the relationship is genuine. After that, they would be doing the background check and other checks. Some visa offices take just 4 months or less to do the whole thing after receiving the application, some can take twice as much, and more.
