Spousal sponsorship with her dependent

I want to sponsor my spouse with her dependant who is 6 years. My spouse has been using her surname for her child from birth because the father of the child did not show up right from the pregnancy to when she gave birth. The father is willing to give consent for the child to travel with his mum. My question is that how do we explain this to immigration and that hope immigration will accept this child to be using same surname with the mum just because the father has not been showing up in the life of this child. I have all proof to show my supports in their life for the past 2years. Pls I need your advise. Thanks in advance

If the biological father provides signed consent on the appropriate form, you are all set. The child's name is not relevant. As long as you can prove that the child is actually hers, IRCC will not worry about surnames.
