I applied to sponsor my wife and kids in August 2018. They have completed medicals and the file has been transferred to the Delhi Visa Office as on December 21st.
On e-CAS dated Jan 4th 2019 is says " we have started processing your application (for my wife), but there is not change on the online account.
I needed a picture of what this means and what kind of timelines I should expect in terms of next steps.
Feedback will be much appreciated.
Thanks NP08... also, if I want to visit my family while the application in process, what do I need to look out for? Can I visit them for a month? I had asked this question earlier and was told anything more than 2-3 weeks may jeopardise the case.
What is your take?

I definitely wouldn't for more than 2-3 weeks, 3 max. I personally wouldn't leave unless I absolutely had to (death in the family or something like that), but I like to play it safe. A few weeks should be fine.
Can someone guide me as to how I can check my application status? Where do you go to see if they are at background check?
My spouse sent in his application in August 2018 and since then he has already given his finger prints and medical. They have updated the online account saying medical results received and I received an email saying file sent to london office. what is next and how do I know where I stand in this process?
