my mother's middle name (maiden name) has a clerical error on my birth certificate, it is "mamOyac" but should be "mamUyac" which is spelled correctly on our marriage certificate. should i change first my birth certificate before my spouse can submit our application forms? or is it okay to submit even though MY MOTHER'S MIDDLE NAME (maiden name) appeared as "MAMOYAC" to my birth certificate and "MAMUYAC" on my marriage certificate. PLEASE HELP. THANK YOU!
It is ok. If you are really worried about it though, you can get a new birth certificate or just get a copy of your mothers birth certificate and passport and write a letter explaining what her real middle name is and where the error lies.
but wait, so i don't have to file a clerical error to the birth certificate of my husband on local civil registry? all i have to do is to write a letter and comes with the birth certificate of my mother in-law? so those are the ones that i will include on the application forms?
