Spousal sponsorship...sponsor moved back to Canada

Hi forum! We are a Canadian citizen sponsor and US citizen applicant in a common law relationship. We sent in our Outland application a few weeks ago as we were still living together then. And the sponsor was in America on a work permit. The application was received but we're still waiting on the AOR.

The sponsor returned to Canada to start grad school last week and will stay there. The applicant is in the US. My question is...will the fact that the sponsor is back in Canada affect the application since we applied Outland? Will there be any issues since we applied Outland but the Canadian citizen sponsor is now residing in Canada?

Not as long as you have proof that you lived together continuously before applying for sponsorship.

We did live together and provided all the documents they asked for in the application.

unless you didn't live together for 12 months prior to your spouse moving back to canada then I see no issues.

Ensure that your partner informs IRCC of his/her address change.
