Spousal sponsorship questions

Hi I need to inquire about a few things regarding my husbands sponsorship application.. Are Medical and police certificate submitted first or CIC request them later? I will be submitting my husbands inland application very soon. We are just getting it all in order. Also his status expires in August . Do we send another extension for him as well while the permanent residence application/ sponsorship is being processed? And last if his passport expires during processing what will happen? Should we renew his passport to be safe? This expires in May 2017... Please advise thank you

Id renew the passport before and pay extra for quicker peocessing. You submit an owp with an inland app so to my knowledge that would act as something which gives you bridging visa status but seek clarification on that.

As for meds and police certs, only do them upfront if applying outland. Inland applications will get messages from cic requesting the applicant to get medicals and police certs. Be aware that some police certs (fbi for example ) take a notoriously long time to get.

Thanks Gary so I'll just submit the application without Medical and police check and they will request them later I assume after the first part of the initial processing? How long does it usually take on a decision to be accepted as a sponsor? Also I'm quite worried about my proof of relationship. I've known my husband since 2006 but all of our online contact is obliterated because of computer crashes. I did not own a mobile either. So all my skype . Msn. Hotmail is completely gone. I have many pictures of us some gift receipts etc lots of pics of him and my family and friends togethe, joint bank accounts etc . I just hope it's enough

Im spousal too. Ive included pictures, joint account and other joint info, photocopies of letters and wedding proof. Thats it. Weve always been together so have little proof of contact.

Double check the police certs thing but im aure mwdicals are requested with inland.
