We are still waiting for our official passport request and a COPR letter for my wife's visa. So far, the medical exam and background check in London Visa Office (LVO) have all been completed. We followed up with IRCC via parliament office three times now. IRCC confirmed that our background check was completed sometime before September 27, 2017 and that our application was nearing completion and was really well done.
As of Nov 01, 2017, LVO requested a copy of passport showing the bio data page and any visa entries. We provided this information to them and it was read on Nov 22, 2017.
My question is why did they request a passport copy given that we already supplied a copy of her new passport to them when we submitted the application in April 28th, 2017? My wife did not do any traveling outside Pakistan since we submitted the application.
Also, how long do you think the process will take from now on? Please advise. Thanks.
