January 29, 2019 submitted application by mail to Sydney and February 4 ECAS showed the first line of processing application.

Does anyone know how long they take to process the request for GCMS notes. Just ordered mine.

I got mine in 2 weeks time. Applied for gcms on 25th July

Yes. It provides information about which step has already completed, which step is in process, and which one has not started yet. It also shows you all the comments written by different officers while evaluating your file.

This person has applied in Feb 2019 so it's exactly a month ago from my timeline.
It means, have to wait for a month more.

Are GCMS notes worth ordering? what information does it provide?

Yes it probably does, it will provide you all comments and remarks of immigration officer who is dealing your case.
If immigration has raised his or her concerns or if he or she has doubts over what information you have provided, you will see all those comments or concerns.
It takes about 30 days to have these CAIPS Notes, it might takes more than 30 days now because of this unprecedented times.

I had sent an inquiry a couple of days ago to LVO with regards to status and today received response. The email said application has been approved and they will issue passport request shortly. No usual excuse of covid-19 or anything like that. Just short two line response with the info I mentioned. Thank God.


I'm 8th Feb 2019 applicant, a 1st Feb applicant got PPR on Wednesday and a 4th Feb got it on Thursday so perhaps they are moving chronologically to clear the back log. I'm hoping to hear something by next week Inshallah.

Can you please tell me according to your timeline when you actually got the request for an interview and medical. Im a march applicant and still have not received any request for an interview and medical.
