Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello all. I have recently got approval to extending my stay.
Which means i have about 8 months to get married and apply for spousal sponsorship.
However, as i have so little knowlege about all this, my question is: Do i start applying for spousal sponsorship or do i apply for citizenship? What would be the smartest to do. Thanks in advance.

You need to apply for PR first.

After you are a PR and have lived in Canada for 4 years, only then can you start application for citizenship.

Yes. To be clear however, your spouse sponsors you to GET your PR, (so your first two are one and the same). Then you can apply for citizenship after residing 1,460 days as a PR in Canada, meeting other eligibility criteria of course.
