spousal sponsorship open work permit

my wife applied for my my spousal sponsorship but at that time we didn't send sent application for open work permit, so do i have to wait for AOR before i can apply for open work permit ?

I believe you can just submit to Vegreville with the required documents and include a cover letter explaining you have applied for PR and attach the PR payment receipt as proof.

That was what my immigration consultant at work recommended when we were considering submitting separately but in the end we went with submitting at the same time.

You do not have to wait for AOR if you applied and met the "INLAND" sponsorship requirements.......you could apply for the work permit right away.

Then I suggest you apply for a PGWP when you finish your studies instead. The inland OWP takes around 4 months to be issued and you will not be allowed to work during that time.
