I am a PR in Canada and trying to sponsor my wife from India. The document checklist says-
birth certificates or baptismal certificates for yourself (and all your dependents, if applicable - whether they are accompanying you to Canada or not)
She has no children or other dependents. Her only family member is me as per CIC definition. Should my birth certificate be included in the application? Technically am I her dependent ?
I am asking it because I do not have a birth certificate as my birth was not registered. (My wife has her birth certificate ready). Can i attach my 10th marklist or something instead if this is required?

You are the sponsor. Not her dependents. So if she doesn't have any dependent, then she doesn't need to attach any birth certificates in the application.

As you are a PR in Canada and your wife is in India, I think there are other documents also rather than birth certificates or baptismal certificates which you must require for calling your spouse in Canada. Just contact a professional as I contacted [ad], and they can also tell you how much [ad link] will be required.

Does the Principle Applicant need to attach their Birth Cert or not? What if the it is not available. We have national ID card where Date of Birth, Father Name, Photo and Address are present.
