I had a question regarding implied status.

I am trying to submit my PR application as spousal sponsorship, but I am still waiting for my police certificate. I'm hoping I can submit my PR application by this week.
My temporary residency as a visitor expires on 7/12/2020.

My question is: when does implied status begins?
Is it immediately when I mail my PR application to Canada Post?
Or
When I receive an AOR?

Implied status begins when they receive it at their office
Thanks for the answer!

Do you know the estimated time of AOR?
Is there a way to speed up the AOR process?
My visitor extension is expiring in less than 3 weeks.. and I'm worried that I won't be able stay in Canada.

Nope, nobody can tell right now. And No Way. They are also incredibly backlogged right now and people from February are still waiting. Would be best to extend your visitor extension just in case you get the application back, especially if you are including an open work permit application.

Oh yikes.. I don't know why IRCC decided on such a bad extension date when I'm trying to apply for PR... but I couldn't even get fingerprinted because everywhere was closed.
Would you happen to know if I can ask IRCC to change the date that they gave me, or do I have to apply for another visitor extension?

You have to apply for another one
