Hello,
I am a current permanent resident in Canada and my fiancee is in the States on a F1 visa. We are planning to get married soon after which I would apply for her dependent visa and she would only come down after she gets her PR. Can someone please help me with the below information:
1) Can you get married in the States/Canada on a visitor's visa?
2) Is it preferred to get married in Canada in terms of applying for her PR or US works the same too?
3) Is there anything additional I need to remember in this process? Has someone gone through the same process?
TIA for all your assistance in this regards.

1) Yes.
2) Doesn't matter.
3) There is no such thing as a "dependent visa". You will need to sponsor her for PR as your spouse once you are married. Since you are a PR, you will have to be living in Canada in order to qualify to sponsor her. The process to sponsor a spouse from outside of Canada is very straight forward and many have done it here.

Thank you for the reply. This comes as a relief because I was not able to get information about the legality of PR sponsorship after getting married on a visitor Visa.
